We want to know if SANE services are helpful for people. We are a study team helping SANE to find out.

You are invited to take part because you have used a SANE service.

We would like to hear what it was like for you.

What happens if you take part?

You will have to tick a consent form on a computer.

The form says you

  • understand what will happen in the study
  • agree to be part of the study

This is called giving consent.

You can see the consent form in the survey.

You may be asked about consent to give your email to the study team.

You can give your email if are interested in talking with the study team about your experience at SANE. It’s up to you.

If you give your email, the study team will let you know more about how these conversations would happen.

This will help SANE to make sure the service is the best it can be.

Things to know about this study

There are benefits and risks in helping with a study.

The benefits of this study are

  • your information will help us learn if SANE is helpful
  • if SANE is helpful more people might be able to get help
  • you might not have any benefit

The risks of this study are low.

To give your consent for SANE to share your answers you only need to tick the consent form.

You do this by ticking a box when you do the SANE survey.

If you feel upset at any time in the survey you can ring

SANE is open weekdays 10am to 8pm

We will

  • Keep your answers private - only the study team will see your information
  • Keep your information on a safe computer. It will be deleted 15 years after the study is finished.
  • Never use your name when we talk or write about the study

You can ask for a summary.

The study team might

  • talk at conferences and meetings about the study
  • write about the study
