Reviews of assessment decisions following ADRC’s cessation

The Accreditation Decisions Review Committee (ADRC) was the body responsible for reviewing accreditation decisions made by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) under the former Child Care Quality Assurance systems (CCQA).

The ADRC ceased operation on 31 December 2011. From 1 January 2012 all quality assessment decisions will be conducted under the National Quality Framework. A new national body, the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), is responsible for ensuring high quality early childhood education and care across Australia. For more information on the National Quality Framework visit www.acecqa.gov.au.

From 1 January 2012, a Regulatory Authority in each state and territory has primary responsibility for the approval, monitoring and quality assessment of services including conducting a review of rating levels.

For further information, contact your Regulatory Authority. A current list of state and territory contact details can be found on the ACECQA website at http://acecqa.gov.au/regulatory-authorities/

The ADRC telephone and facsimile number have ceased and the ADRC website http://www.adrc.org.au  will expire in December 2013.
